   Commodities Mostly Lower Ahead of Next Snowmageddon

   March corn was 2 cents lower, March soybeans were 4 cents lower, and March
Chicago wheat was 1 cent higher.

6:00 a.m. CME Globex:   March corn was 2 cents lower, March soybeans were 4
cents lower, and March Chicago wheat was 1 cent higher.

CME Globex Recap:  Commodities in general were mostly lower early Monday with
solid losses seen in both energies and metals. Grains traded either side of
unchanged while the U.S. dollar index continues its climb higher. There seemed
to be as much chatter about the blizzard expected to hit the Northeast
megalopolis as there was anything market related Monday morning.



OUTSIDE MARKETS:  The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 141.38 points lower
Friday at 17,672.60. Dow Jones futures were 66 points lower early Monday. Asian
markets were mixed with the Nikkei down 43.23 points at 17,468.52. European
markets were also mixed. The overnight crude oil market was $0.53 lower at
$45.06 while Brent crude was $0.62 lower at $48.17. The February gold contract
was $9.20 lower at $1,283.20 while the U.S. dollar index was 0.125 higher at
94.887. Soybeans at the Dalian Exchange were lower while Malaysian palm oil
contracts were also lower.
